Roof of the World Marathon in May 2014,and we will officially start
the Roof of the World Marathon from May 2015.
The Lonely Yak Half Marathon & 10K May 2nd-May 7th 2014
May 2nd ~ Depart Beijing to Lhasa.
May 3rd ~ Tour the Potala Palace, spend the rest of the day at your
leisure and acclimatizing to the altitude. Meals included
May 4th ~ Tour the Jorkhang Temple. Spend the rest of the day at
your leisure. May the 4th be with you day, wear your best Star Wars
outfit and have some fun! May the force be with you! Meals

May 5th ~ Tour Nobulingka and the Tibet Museum. Meals included.
May 6th ~ It's race day!!!! We head out to the Lonely Yak Half
Marathon & 10K Starting line in Yanghu. After the race say goodbye
to those staying for the Roof of the World Marathon before heading
back to Lhasa. Meals Included
May 7th ~ Spend the day at your leisure and get ready for your
evening flight back to Beijing.

May 9th ~ We head back to Lhasa to catch our evening flights to
Beijing or home.

For the runners/spectators who join the trial run of The Lonely Yak
Half Marathon and The Roof of the World Marathon,all runners must
enter Tibet the same day and depart Tibet the same day per the
permit. Runners can not arrive or stay in Tibet on their own
agenda. All travel to Tibet is by permit only. No national flags
or clothing designs with national flags are allowed during the race.
No slogan shouting or other sensitive matters area allowed at any
time. No reading materials or pictures about the Dalai Lama are
permitted. Runners and spectators must respect the customs of the
local Tibetan people,
the environment, and to respect all the Chinese laws in while in
Tibet.
It is highly recommend that all runners and spectators purchase
travel health insurance as altitude sickness can happen to anyone.
If you need to be airlifted or transported out of Tibet quickly this
can be very costly. We ask that all runner and spectators receive
a medical okay from their doctors before competing in The Lonely Yak
Half Marathon & 10K and The Roof of the World Marathon and Half
Marathon. Race officials reserve the right to withdrawal runners
from the race course, or from competing in the race if they feel it
is medical necessary.
No refunds will be given for runners not allowed to compete.
