New Highway Benefits All Runners(September 29,2009) On September 27,the highway from downtown Beijing to  Chengde city was open,and this would bring the greatest convenience to all the runners to the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1,2010. The Great Walls of Jinshanling and Simatai is 4km and 10km beyond the east side of the highway.And it would take over one hour from downtwon Beijing to the Great Walls for the great event! We still clearly remeber that when the first Great Wall of China Marathon was held,we all runners spent more than 4 hours on the way,and this year on May 1,we spent nearly 3 hours on the way,and we met a little bit traffic jam on the way.So all our runners could have enough time to sleep well at the hotels in downtown Beijing on April 30, 2010. And some more good news for all our runners,that the Beijing No.4 Subway was open yesterday and this would also bring the greatest convenience to all our world runners to Zhongxie Hotel and the other hotels nearby that we have been using since the first Great Wall of China Marathon. It would only take about 10 and 15 minutes for you to get to the hotels mentioned above on foot if you get off the No.4 Subway either at Weigongcun Station or the Station of China National Library.And we will draw the new map for you for all the runners and participants to the hotels.
