A New Way to Make the Payment for GWCM2012(Nov. 7,2011) Dawn created a third way to make the payment for attending the Great Wall of China Marathon! Before 2010,all the payment for running the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1 would be required to the international bank account of the Overseas General Office of Great Wall of China Marathon we Chinese people set up in Japan. From 2010,a Polish runner, who became No.2 at the Great Wall of China Marathon 2010 made the payment to our Chinese bank account for the first time. Because he works in China. And the charge is only around 1.5USD. We have been asking if the payment could be done by credit card, we had to turn down the requirement by the runners who wanted to do with the credit card such as Paypal. The reason is because we will 100% secure the safety of each payment by every runner. And credit card crimes happen,etc. And we have been doing our best very often to create some other advantages for our worldwide runners to reduce the cost charge by your local bank,so you could see that we always accept the application usually after May 1(after the race) with the application fee only 88USD,not 198USD,and some times,we offer from hotel in certain period time who apply to run the Great Wall of China Marathon. In November 2011,Dawn,an American lady, made payment to her friend in Shanghai China by Paypal, then her friend got her application fee, and her friend made the payment at a post office to our bank account with the only around 1.5USD charge. This new method greatly reduce the normal charge if she paid through her American local bank, it is usually around 50USD. Why not? This is a new way, a third way! So if you have good friend in any place in Mainland China, you can use this new method created by Dawn. And this method can also be extended, If you have any friend in Japan, you can also use this way. You make the payment by credit card to your friend, and he or she can pay for you in our bank account in Japan. In this way, the bank charge your friend would pay for you could be from 0 USD to 5USD.
