I really look forward to my first visit to China !(Nov. 8,2011) I ran my first half-marathon almost two years ago, when I was 40 years old. Since then, I have participated in several half-marathons meeting wonderful people along the way. I do not have the fastest time, but I always have a finish time! Last year I ran a half-marathon in Las Vegas , Nevada , with a friend of mine from high school named Kathleen Enquist. I had not seen her for over 20 years. We had so much fun! Since that time, she has moved to Shenyang , Liaoning , China . When she invited me to China to run the Great Wall Half-Marathon with her, I knew I had to come! After the Great Wall , I plan on going to Shenyang for a few days to be able to enjoy not only the tourist attractions, but also experience the day-to-day Chinese culture. I am very excited to come to China – to see old friends and meet new ones!
