The Holiday Seasons Now in China(October 6,2012) Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival in China right after the Spring Festival(Chinese New Year),and 100% Chinese people celebrate the Festival by enjoying the very beautiful moon at night and eat the moon-cakes. And the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival is calculated by Chinese lunar Calendar,the date therefore various every year. It happens that the festival comes together with China's National Day on October 1 this.And from more than 10 years ago,but less than 20 years ago,the National Day has become almost one week holiday for Chinese people.So most Chinese people choose the long holiday seasons,around 8 days for travelling. It is very interesting to see the worldwide media reporting about this holiday season with the stunning photos. It is definitely that the place/scenic spots with the most convenient transportation could see the most visitors. The Great Walls where we held the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1,2013 is a place that the transportation is not convenient.There is no regular public buses all year round to this place.People normally come here only by taxi or the rental cars.So there are less visitors here. And for the nearby scenic spots,there are less visitors,there are only 10-20 visitors in a day,such as Dongcunrui Guju. So this is the reason that this part of the Great Walls  are being best protected,so this is one of the reasons that this part of the Great Walls are the most beautiful parts in the whole China. On May 1,2013,we as usual,will use our special limousine tour buses to take all our worldwide runners to the Great Walls. If you rent a taxi from downtown Beijing on May 1 from the early morning,it would cost you 150USD to 200USD to this part of the Great Walls.
