Some Basic Data for Marathon Runners at Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1,2013 (Nov.10,2012) Running the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1,2013 is not easy,especially for full marathon runners. However,please bear in your minds that you will run over 20,000 countable stairs on the Great Walls and you will run 10km on the hills along the Great Walls. And below is the elevation map we used at Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1,2012.By clicking the map,you could see the large size. And the time limit is 8 hours for the full marathon runners. So we suggest that the full marathon should have the regular training according to the above data. We would say that if you have already applied to run the full marathon,and till April 15,2013,if you feel that you could not finish the full marathon within 8 hours after your regular training,please inform us,and we can help you to change your full marathon into half marathon. But we should say that 85% of the runners can finish the full marathon within 8 hours. We should tell you that if your normal marathon time is over 5 hours and 30 minutes or 6 hours,maybe you cannot finish the full marathon on the Great Walls on May 1,2013. For the half marathon runners,you will also run over 10000 countable stairs on the Great Walls. The difficulty for the half marathon runners is the half difficulty of the full marathon runners.However,the time limit is also 8 hours.So 100% half marathon runners can finish the race. It is also 8 hours for the 10km and 5km runners.10Km runners normally can finish the race within 3 hours,running so leisurely on the walls.And the 5km runners can normally finish the race in more than one hour.
