The First German Runner to the Roof of the World Marathon 2015(May 17,2014) Mr.Micheal Weigt applied and paid yesterday to run the Roof of the World Marathon to be held on May 6 and May 8,2015. On May 6,it is for the 10K and half marathon,and on May 8,it is for the half and full marathon.Mr.Weigt applied to run the half on May 6 and full on May 8,2015. Unlike any other races,runners to go for the Roof of the World Marathon are required to be used to the high altutude.So for the race,we all runners would fly to Tibet from Beijing on the morning of May 2,2015 and fly back to Beijing or any other Chinese cities you like on May 5 or May 9,2014. Mr.Micheal Weigt ran the Mt.Everest Marathon in Nepal last year,and he became the No.1 among all the German runners,and also the No.17 among all the worldwide runners last year. Mr.Micheal Weigt realized that the Roof of the World Marathon has the highest altitude course in the world,so he came for the challenge.
