The Improved Course and Your Time
Arrangement for the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018(December
11,2017)
Thank you all very much for the support by all the world runners!
If you are the runners of the 15th and the 16th Great Wall of China
Marathon on May 1st,2016 and 2017,you would know that we did not use
some parts of the Great Walls that you saw during your race.
For the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st,2017,we would
much improve the courses based on its original ones.

Here is some very latest and the most basic info which would be much
helpful for your arrangement of your time after the race.
10K
All the 10K runners would run from START at the Opening Ceremony
Square,and end at the other side of the Great Wall,and you would be
transported from the other side of the Great Wall with our min-buses
to the START again and then wait for the big limonsine buses to take
you back to downtown Beijing.
If you would like to go back to downtown Beijing directly from the
other side of the Great Wall by taxi,please let us know,we would
reserve the taxi for you.This is our newly customized service.
5K
This is the only course that is not change.You would run to the
Great Wall directly and turn back from 2.5K Turning Point of 5K on
the Great Wall,and back to the START Square.
Full and Half
All the runners would run northward to the XINHUAJIEMEN,and then
back to the Great Wall,on the other side of the Great Wall,we would
run along the path of the new section of the Great Wall that we have
not used.
For the half marathon runners,and then it is one small loop totally
when you come back to the FINISH.
For the full marathon runners,it is one big loop when you come back
to the FINISH.

Energy and Time
Because of the new improvement,our best technology service for all
the world runners would be best used,and much of the energy of the
full and half runners would be saved.
On May 1st,2018,all the runners would depart the official
Shenzhou(Beijing)International Hotel in downtown Beijing at 5:30AM
and arrive at the Great Wall at 6:50AM
and the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018 would start at
7:30AM,and we still leave the 10 hours as the time limit for the
full marathon runners,and it is estimated that most of the full
marathoners would finish the race at 4PM.
If any full and half marathoners would like to depart Beijing to
another city on the race day,we still suggest that you buy the train
or the air tickets after 10PM so that you would have enough time in
the huge Beijing.If any runners would like to book the taxi back to
the downtown Beijing or to the airport or to the railway station
directly,please let us know,we would reserve the taxi for you.
Usually the first big bus would depart the Great Wall at about 12
o'clock.Each big bus can leave the Great Wall when it is full of 50
runners.

year,we would release the exact course after Chinese New Year.We
would furnish with you the latest development of the huge change in
this area of Beijing.As you know the largest subway station in the
world is being built under the Great Walls in this area for the 2022
Beijing Winter Olympic Game,so in 2021,it would take 10 minutes from
downtown Beijing to the Great Wall here. All the runners at the 17th
Great Wall of China Marathon 2018 would have the close look at the
change of Beijing during your course.Have a very happy Christmas to
