The Info about the Great Wall of China Marathon 2018-Autumn(July 4th,2018) From the feedback of the world runners in the past years,we feel that some runners like to run the most difficult marathon in China that we have been having on May 1st on the Great Wall in the past 17 years,but from recent two years,some runners prefer to run the Great Wall of China Marathon not that so difficult. Therefore from 2018,we did some change for the course at the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st,2018,after the race,we got the clear idea that we would remain the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st still the most difficult one in China,while we would make the course of the Great Wall of China Marathon 2018-Autumn less difficult. Here is some new data about the new venue, Great Wall that we would use in this Autumn. Runners would run the Great Wall with almost no tourist,it is completely original,and the Great Wall is mostly hidden in the green trees,that is the reason that you cannot see it from the Google and you cannot read any info about this GreWall from any Chinese books and maps,and the distance the world runners would run on this wall would not be as long as what we have on May 1st,and it would take about one hour from the trail road to the Great Wall on the mountain,and this trail road is regarded as the most challenge one,and we would have more working staff on this trail road to give you the direction and give you the help.
Camelbak is necessary for all the runners. And besides the Great Wall,we would run in a mountain path the longest distance,and there is no people and not any vehicles on this path,and this path is extremely clean,it is some what as the path of the Yellow Stone Park,the first and the largest national park in USA. The elevation of the START of the Great Wall of China Marathon 2018-Autumn is 790 metres(2591.86ft) and the highest point on the Great Wall is 1121 metres(3677.82ft).We would release the course map some time in the end of August or early September 2018,together with other detail information. There are simple hotel rooms near the START at the Great Wall,it is 50USD for a single room or a double room.If you need the hotel room,please let us know,we would help to reserve the hotel room(s) for you now. If you would fly from overseas to China for the Great Wall of China Marathon 2018-Autumn,please choose your destination city BEIJING,the capital of P.R.China.the race date is Sunday October 21,2018.
