The Course Map of the Great Wall of China Marathon 2018-Autumn(September 25, 2018)
The Great Wall is first time to open to the world runners,and it is different from the Great Wall that we use for the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018. The course is easier. For example,the time for walking the 10KM course would be 3 hours in ordinary speed. It would take about 7 hours for almost all the full marathoners to finish the race. This Great Wall is primitive,and we have chosen the very beautiful part for all our world runners.
Here is something new that you should pay attention to: 1)Time Limit: Eventhough we say the course is easier,we still leave the 10 hours for the full marathoners,and there is no time limit for the half marathon,10KM and 5KM,but everyone should be finishing the race within 10 hours. 2)Camelbaks: For the best enjoyment of the Great Wall and for your best feelings on the Great Wall,we strongly suggest every runners to bring your camelbaks for the race,even the 5KM and 10KM runners. There are water at every blue points,including F,there is no water after F till C. 3)No shorts: We have tested and experienced that your legs might be lightly scratched while running up to the Great Wall on the small path,please see the bushes in the picture above along the Great Wall,this suggestion is especially for the (lady) runners who care much about your skin.There is no problem for your hands and faces. 4)5KM Runners: Only the 5KM runners start from F point and end at F point.We have our van to send you to F and take you back to A,the FINISH of the other marathon runners. 5)Trail Running Shoes: It would be very good if our runners wear the trail running shoes.
