The similarities and the differences of Beijing Marathon and the
Great Wall of China Marathon and An Opening China!(October 30,2022)
Similarities:
1.Unlike the other years,the Beijing Marathon 2022 did not
officially immediately accept the runners until today October
30,2022.The Great Wall of China Marathon 2022
almost have not accepted the registration of any runners from April
25,2022 up till now.Beijing Marathon will take place on November
6,2022,and the Great Wall of China
Marathon will take place on November 27,2022.
2.As organizers in China,Beijing Marathon is also very painful for
making the marathon happens in China under this post-pandemic
time,Great Wall of China Marathon has
been paying the greatest attention for such situation in China
almost every day.
Differences:
1.Beijing Marathon has sponsors,Great Wall of China Marathon have
not made any efforts for accepting sponsors.
2.Beijing Marathon can cancel the race during the pandemic time,but
we cannot cancel the race.Great Wall of China Marathon took place in
2020,2021 and in 2022
already,the Great Wall of China Marathon at the end of next month is
the second time of Great Wall of China Marathon in 2022.
3.Beijing Marathon keep the entries of the runners who registered
the race from 2021 and almost no refund,we keep the entries of the
runners and refund the runners from late April 2022,our latest
runner who got the refund is in August 2022.And about 20 runners are
still in our list.Tokyo Marathon also did not refund any runners
when the pandemic happened and Tokyo Marathon keeps the entries of
the runners for the following year.
Unlike the marathon organizers in other overseas countries,covid is
not a factor they would consider any more,so their organizing work
is smooth as we have before 2020.It is so inspiring that China is
taking the astonishing changes for opening to the outside world from
July 2022. From today till the March 25 2023,there would be over 800
international flights between China and the world every week!Those
flights are operated by Chinese airlines and all the world top main
airlines.But do you know that there was almost no direct flight to
Beijing from overseas before June 2022?
In our news in September 2022,we told the world runners that if you
would fly to Hongkong China first from your countries for the Great
Wall of China Marathon 2023 and the Roof of the World Marathon 2023,your
international flight tickets from North and South America and from
Europe can save over 1,000USD.And the 500,000 free international
flight tickets are still there which will start from some time in
early 2023.
