Marathon on May 1st,2024 like never before, as we present five
exclusive reasons that make it an incomparable event.
 1. Ensuring Sufficient Rest for All Runners the Night Before the
Race:
Stay at our designated 4-star hotel located in downtown Beijing, and
our luxury limousine buses will transport you to the starting line
of the Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st, 2024. The convenient
highway not only connects the Great Wall for our participants in
northwest Beijing but also provides easy access to the venues of the
Beijing Winter Olympic Games 2022, all within a 20 to 30-minute
drive. Departure from the official hotel is scheduled for 5:30 AM on
May 1st, 2024, ensuring ample time for a good night's sleep.
We have arranged comfortable twin rooms at the official hotel for
all registered runners. If you wish to share a room with another
participant, the cost is 375CNY per night.
2. Assistance with Chinese Visa Application and Extension in
Beijing:
Currently, runners from 11 countries can enter China without a
Chinese Visa. Additionally, participants from 46 countries can enjoy
a 144-hour transit visa (visa-free) in Beijing, which can be
obtained upon arrival at Beijing airports or Beijing West Railway
Station. If your Chinese visa is nearing expiration, we can assist
you in extending it in Beijing from May 2nd to May 5th, 2024. This
will allow you to explore more of China after the marathon.
3. Professional Marathon Care for Every Runner:
The upcoming 23rd Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st, 2024
marks the 28th edition of this prestigious event. Despite the
challenges faced in recent years, including 2020, 2021, and 2022, we
have never canceled the Great Wall of China Marathon. In 2023, we
successfully organized the 22nd Great Wall of China Marathon on May
1st and the Great Wall of China Marathon 2023-Autumn on October
29th. Our commitment to hosting this marathon twice a year remains
unwavering, with races always taking place on May 1st (Spring) and
the last Sunday of October (Autumn). We pride ourselves on providing
exceptional care for runners of all ages, ranging from 3 to 81 years
old, during the challenging Great Wall of China Marathon. The time
limit for completing the race is set at 10 hours.

We not only have the privilege of being the founder, organizer, and
race director of the renowned Great Wall of China Marathon, but we
also hold the same esteemed positions for the Roof of the World
Marathon in Tibet!
Following the conclusion of the 23rd Great Wall of China Marathon on
May 1st, 2024, a group of dedicated runners will continue their
journey with us on May 2nd, 2024, as we embark on the Roof of the
World Marathon in Lhasa, Tibet.
