Citizens of 38 countries can enter China visa-free—your adventure
starts now!
Citizens of 54 countries can enjoy a transit visa and stay in China

2. Claim Your Bib and Begin the Excitement
For registered runners of the 24th Great Wall of China Marathon on
May 1st, 2025:
Pick up your race packet on April 30th from 9 AM to 6 PM at the
luxurious 4-star official hotel in downtown Beijing—Mercure Beijing
Zhongguancun (北京中关村美居酒店). Address: No. 31 Zhongguancun South Street,
Haidian District, Beijing, 10081, China. Double-check your
reservation—there’s more than one Mercure in Beijing, and this is
your starting line!
For registered runners of the Great Wall of China Marathon
2025-Autumn:
Collect your race packet on October 25th, 2025, from 9 AM to 6 PM at
the same inspiring location—Mercure Beijing Zhongguancun. Same
address, same excitement—don’t miss it!
3. Unlock a Free 4-Star Hotel Room
New to the race? Sign up now for either event, and enjoy a free
hotel room the night before your big day—rest up and rise ready to
shine! Already registered but haven’t claimed your free stay? Invite
a friend or family member to join the race, and you’ll both score a
free room. Share the joy, share the journey!
4. Flexibility for Your Dreams
Life happens, but your Great Wall dream doesn’t fade! The Great Wall
of China Marathon (GWCM) is the only marathon in mainland China held
every year without fail—even through 2020, 2021, and 2022. If you
can’t make it this time, your entry will seamlessly transfer to the
next race, whether in Autumn or on May 1st. Unsure of your schedule?
Your spot remains secure forever—run when the time is right for you!
5. Challenge the Wall: It’s About the Journey
Forget counting steps,there used to be over 20,000 steps,then we
used 6 different Great Wall in the past 23 years. Now, we celebrate
the time it takes to triumph. The 5K might take you 2 hours of pure
exhilaration. For the full marathon, expect around 7 hours and 30
minutes, with a generous 10-hour limit to cross that finish line.
